Farming for Justice is a series of monthly webinars created by Groundswell. These webinars are for farmers, food producers, and food system workers to discuss specialized topics addressing how the worlds of farming and food justice overlap.

March’s webinar is entitled “Trauma and Resilience for Farmers” and will discuss trauma and oppression intersect with food systems. Kate Downes, NY FarmNet Outreach Director, and Adrienne Masler, local life coach and farm worker, will lead this discussion and explore the trauma and oppression impact the communities that produce our food. They will also delve into what trauma is and how it happens, review some resources for support and recovery, and discuss ways to build resilience with a focus on community and relationships as protective factors.

Farming for Justice's webinars are free and interested individuals can register online. Once you register, you will receive monthly updates on future Farming for Justice Discussions. If you are interested in what Farming for Justice offers, please visit their website or our page that has information on upcoming webinars and recording or recaps of past webinars.
