Workshops and Webinars

One of the charges of the CFAES Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is to offer free professional development programs to help members of the CFAES community learn skills needed to build diverse, inclusive, and equitable communities. In March 2020 all programs were switched to online delivery. Programs facilitated by CFAES staff are accessible to anyone, regardless of affiliation with the college. 

In-house or virtual on demand delivery of programs are available to CFAES departments, offices, and units (delivery of programs to units outside CFAES may be possible, please use contact information below to inquire). If you are interested in scheduling avirtual or in-person workshop for your unit please contact Dr. Leo Taylor (, Program Manager for Faculty and Staff Affairs. Please note that a minimum of two weeks advance notice may be required.

Ongoing and past workshops address the following topics:

  • Implicit bias (introduction)

  • Implicit bias in the hiring process

  • Microaggressions

  • Identity, power, and privilege

  • Difficult conversations

  • Inclusive and equitable hiring practices

  • Accessible teaching practices

  • Transgender identities

  • Pronouns and other gendered words

  • Bystander intervention 

  • LGBTQ+ cultural competency

  • Introduction to diversity, equity, and inclusion

  • Advocates and Allies (The Women's Place training for men)


The following programs are facilitated by staff at the Student Life Multicultural Center and hosted by CFAES. You must have a valid OSU name.# to participate. All are delivered via Zoom.

  • Privilege Puzzle
  • BuckAlly Dream (DACA, Undocumented, Dreamers and mixed status folks)
